Nieves Correa – European Live Art Archive

ELAA is the European Live Art Archive, which is based at Girona University. The aim of ELAA is to share knowledge, experience and documentation of live art throughout the European Union and the focus of our activity is the production of a live art programme, filmed interviews with artists and the organisation of symposia.

Nieves Correa is a multidisciplinary artist.
She began making performances in 1988 while also producing installations, public art and video and electronic works.
Her work was influenced by the conceptual works of Fluxus as well as the group Zaj. Since 1990 both independently and as curator, she has organised many live art programmes as well as international performance festivals .

She is currently Director of the successful festival Accion!MAD that has been held annually in Madrid since  2003. She has shown her work in festivals around the world.
